What is Contemporary Mystics?

Contemporary mystics is a medium to explore the evolving spirituality found within Western mysticism. Drawing from decades of engagement with contemplative spirituality and spiritual psychology, this platform aims to present spiritual insights, inspiration, and instruction that will bring enrichment, enhancement, and enlightenment to the contemporary spiritual journeyer. We are convinced the job of spiritual teaching is to remind us of the true spiritual nature and oneness we share with the Divine within.

Who is a Contemporary Mystic?

A contemporary mystic is a person who directly experiences the sacred presence of the Divine within. This God encounter is awakening to the awareness of Divine reality and consciousness. It is the continual self-revelation of our true spiritual identity as a unique incarnation and expression of God and the deepening engagement of our mystical Divine union. This Divine relationship is experiencing the mystery of Love itself. It is the realisation that God is Love, and as such God is relationship. Our embodiment of Divine Love is experienced only as our spiritual heart centre surrenders to the Divine within and we let go of our false ego self and embrace our true transcendent self.

Spiritual Growth in Consciousness

Spiritual growth is our evolution of consciousness. This evolution of consciousness is a work of divine grace and comes about through the unfolding realisation of our mystical union with the Divine within. Although there are different ways to describe this evolutionary growth, we universally advance through the transformation of our consciousness, which can be described as 4 energic processes: everyday consciousness, awakened consciousness, transcendent consciousness, and oneness consciousness. As spiritual beings we are designed to evolve into a conscious mature being that realises our unitive oneness with God because of our union with the divine nature. This experience is the awareness of our true self as an embodiment and expression of Divine grace, love, and life that ultimately finds its expressive fulfillment in influencing the world in which we live.

About Me

Hi, I'm Warren... a Spiritual Contemplative, Communicator and Companion.

I'm here to help you discover your true spiritual nature, directly experience the Divine within, and evolve in your spiritual consciousness.

My calling to encourage your soul’s unique discovery of its true transcendent identity is born out of my lifetime encounter of Divine presence, consciousness, and transformation.

I am a theologically and professionally trained spiritual leader, spiritual teacher, and spiritual practitioner, with over 30 years of experience in contemplative spirituality and spiritual psychology. I have a deep spiritual knowledge, understanding, and wisdom to offer spiritual perceptions, perspectives and practices that will foster spiritual growth and a deeper awareness and encounter of Divine consciousness, that can be integrated into your everyday life.

As a former church minister and pastoral counsellor, at the age of 37, I responded to the inner mystic call and left behind institutional Christianity with its restricted belief system and behavioural requirements and embraced contemplative spiritual consciousness with its accent on the direct experience of the Divine presence and union within. For the past 23 years I have dedicated myself to this inner mystic and contemplative spiritual journey and have a firsthand experience of discovering the transcendent nature of my true spiritual identity and oneness we share with the Divine within.

My commitment isn't to 'Christianity' as a system of thought,

but to 'Christianness' as a way of being.

I offer a fresh insight, inspiration and instruction of the mystery and reality of this inner Divine encounter. My personal transformational journey of consciousness has endured many experiences of what the mystics call ‘dark nights of the soul,’ so the spiritual communications I'm presenting do not emerge simply from an intellectual position, but from a deeply experiential and sacred understanding of Divine awakening, awareness, aliveness, and action.
